Clinical Supervision

A reflective, collaborative space to support you, your clients and your practice.

A Space to Reflect

I see supervision as much more than a professional requirement. It offers the opportunity to step back from the demands of client work, reflect openly and talk together about the challenges, uncertainties and responsibilities that come with being a therapist.

My experience of working with clients over many years continues to inform my supervision, particularly when thinking about the evolving therapeutic relationship, enduring change and the complexities of long-term work.

My role is not to provide all the answers, but to offer a collaborative space where we can explore your client work, support your wellbeing and help you to continue to develop with confidence. We will work together in a way that feels considerate, supportive and respectful of your own experience as a therapist.

I welcome enquiries from therapists looking for an ongoing supervisory relationship, as well as those seeking occasional supervision around my specialist areas of practice. Whether you are newly qualified and seeking your first supervisor or are an experienced therapist looking for someone new.

For me, the quality of the supervisory relationship creates the space for thoughtful reflection, ethical practice, your wellbeing and your ongoing development as a practitioner

Getting started

Choosing the right supervisor is an important decision. I offer the chance to meet either online or in person to have an initial conversation at no charge to you, which gives us the opportunity to discuss your practice, answer any questions and explore whether we would work well together. Supervision is available in person in County Durham both indoors in my therapy room and outdoors, plus also online.

Additional Specialist Supervision

Alongside ongoing supervision, I also offer additional extra supervision for therapists working with clients or their family members affected by substance misuse, sight loss or who are working with university students or staff.

As I worked extensively in these areas I can offer guidance and support with your client work. I would be happy to discuss whether this would be helpful alongside your existing supervision arrangements.

Hearing how supervisees experience our work together often says more than I can
